Northwest Indiana is full of pizza places, so many of them can go overlooked. There are a few, however, that really stand out in the crowd and we’ve listed those below. Listed in no particular order.
• Gamba Ristorante
Gamba certainly isn’t considered a ‘pizza place’ by any means. With an always changing menu, we can’t even guarantee that they will have pizza on their menu, but Gamba has offered a pizza so delicious that we had to put it on the list: a fig, goat cheese, prosciutto, pizza topped with arugula and a light balsamic glaze. AH-mazing.
• Gelsosomo’s Pizza (Chesterton location)
Gelsosomo’s restaurants are quickly popping up around Lake and Porter Counties, but there is something about the pizza at the Chesterton location that’s different than the others.
• Giuseppe’s Italian
Giuseppe’s Italian restaurant in Schererville offers authentic Italian brick oven neapolitan pizzas made from ingredients shipped from Italy.
• House of Pizza
House of Pizza is a region classic, located in Hammond on Indianapolis Blvd since the 1950s!
• Langel’s Pizza (Highland location)
A staple of downtown Highland, Langel’s Pizza is known for their crumbly sausage and has been around for decades.
• Tomato Bar
With a new location in Schererville, this popular Valparaiso eatery has expanded to Lake County bringing it’s awesomeness in all forms.
